Free sightseeing tours of Varna city
The new season of the free walking tours of Varna city starts on April 13th. This is the second year since the project was launched in Bulgaria's sea capital and the tours are traditionally held twice a day- from 1100 AM and 0600 PM starting from the Uspenie Bogorodichno cathedral. The tours are completely free and open for the guests of the city and no reservation is required.
Last season Free Varna Tour was visited by some 1500 English speaking guests from various and exotic countries sitting on 6 continents such as - USA, Canada, Great Britain, Germany, Spain, Chile, Brazil, Japan, China, South Africa and many others. Many Varna citizens also join the free tours which give them the opportunity to rediscover their city and learn many interesting facts about its history.
The main purpose of the tours is to highlight and boost the city's image not just as a sea destination but as a cultural centre as well and to add to its positive reputation among foreign tourists. The project is aimed at revealing to the guests of the city the historical and cultural heritage of both Varna and Bulgaria.
The tours are held as scheduled independently of the number of visitors, weather conditions or national holidays.
